What's a china visa ?


 Chinese visa is a permit issued to foreign citizens for their entry into, exit from or transit through the Chinese territory. Chinese visa authorities may base the visa status on foreign nationals, subject to China, and reference types passports respectively to give them diplomatic visas, temporary visas, business visas or ordinary visa.

China's visa-issuing authorities in foreign countries is the embassies and consulates; At home is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

China visa consist of diplomatic visas, temporary visas, business visas or ordinary visa. Among them, ordinary visa divided into eight, which are marked with Chinese phonetic letters (L.F.X.Z.G.C.J.D).

1.L Visa(Tourist & Family Visit Visa): issued to an alien who want to travel to China. Travel to China, in principle, are obliged to provide sufficient proof to show you have enough travel fee. Go to china for visiting relatives, when necessary, are required to provide letters of invitation from domestic relatives.

2.F Visa(visitor&business visa):issued to an applicant who is invited to China on a visit, on a study or lecture, business tour, for scientific-technological and cultural exchanges, for short-term refresher course or for job-training, for a period of no more than six months.

3.X Visa(study visa):issued to an alien who will study in china over 6 months, Applicants should show the attest letter from accepting units ,namey" Application Form for foreign students to china" (Form 201 or Form JW202), " admission notes" and the "physical examination record"

4.Z Visa(work visa):issued to an applicant who comes to China for a job or employment, and his or her accompanying family members,including the foreign citizen who comes to china for a  commercial show. According to different condition, Applicants should provide an Employment License of the People's Republic of China for Foreigners (which could be obtained by the employer in China from the provincial or municipal labor authorities) and a visa notification letter/telegram issued by an authorized organization or company .

5.G Visa(transit visa):issued to an alien who transit through china. Applicants shoud have the valid visa and an air ticket for the visiting country.

6.C Visa(steward&trainman visa)Issued to an applicant who is an train attendants, or an air crewmembers  operating international services, and to their accompanying family members. To apply for a visa C, relevant documents are required to be provided in accordance with bilateral agreements or regulations of the Chinese side.

7.J Visa (gazetteer visa):issued to an alien who work as a journalist  Among them,J-1 is issued to foreign correspondents who always live in China. J-2 is issued to foreign correspondents who make short trip to China on reporting tasks. The applicants for J-1 and J-2 visas are required to provide a certificate issued by the competent Chinese authorities.

8.D Visa (resident visa):issued to an foreign citizen who want to reside permanently in china.

Note:

1.Visas are not required for foreigners who hold tickets and have booked seats on international airliners flying directly through China, and will stay in a transit city for no more than 24 hours without leaving the airport.

2..visas are not required for ordinary passport holders from Singapore ,Brunei and Japan to visit China for less than 15 days for business, sightseeing, visiting relatives and friends .

3.Visas are not required for citizens of the following countries, who transit through Pudong Airport or Hongqiao Airport of Shanghai, provided their valid passports, visas for the onward countries, final destination tickets and have booked seats, and stay in Shanghai for less than 48 hours : Republic of Korea, United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Austria, Greece.

4. According to the  “The Hongkong Special Adminstrative Region Basic Law” and “the Macao Special Administrative Region Basic Law”, Hong Kong, Macao carry out independently immigration control. Foreigners who go to the Hong Kong or Macao should according to relevant laws.
